Aluminum paste is a metallic pigment made by adding organic solvent (or equivalent) to aluminum that has been crushed or ground into powder form.
It is safer and more convenient than aluminum powder as particles cannot become airborne.

Ordinary aluminum pastes are formulated with hydrophobic mineral spirit solvents that do not disperse in water.
Water-based aluminum paste, on the other hand, disperses readily in water and is suitable for surface finishing, providing a viable alternative to solvents.

Pearl pigment is a powder that gives off the luster of pearls. It consists of thin-board mica powder coated with titanium dioxide in a layered structure that generates multipath reflection (regular reflections of incident light from multiple layers).
Pearl pigment luster is both deeper and gentler than conventional metallic shine. It is also translucent and interacts with the base color to create striking visual effects.
