Aluminum foil is made by compressing aluminum with rollers until it reaches the required thickness. A highly effective barrier material, aluminum foil is used in a range of packaging materials to provide an airtight and lightproof shield. Aluminum foil is often used in combination with plastic film or paper, or on its own.
- ・Thickness: 6.5µ - 200µ ・Width: 500 - 1,300 mm
・O/H
- Confectionery, dairy products, drink products, instant foods, pharmaceuticals, cleaning products, cosmetics, electronic components, construction materials
Aluminum foil is used in electrolytic capacitors to store electrical charge. Given that storage capacity is directly proportional to surface area, the challenge is to use electrical and chemical means to increase the surface area from ten times to one hundred times. In addition to storing electrical charge, aluminum foil must also resist bending, which presents an inherent contradiction. Our aluminum foil product successfully meets both criteria.
- Aluminum-based electrical capacitors, electric double-layer capacitors, lithium-ion battery cathode collectors
Aluminum foil is a very effective shielding material that keeps scents and odors sealed tightly within. It also has excellent thermal conductivity and is used extensively in packaging solutions such as freezer pouches.
Finally, aluminum foil is an extremely hygienic material, which makes it ideal for pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
- Instant foods, pre-cooked meals, coffee, spices, chocolate, pet food, health supplements, shampoo and conditioner, body soap Lids, covers, bottle tops, disposable lids (for yoghurt and jellies)
Aluminum foil provides excellent shielding against light, heat and magnetism, and for this reason is used extensively in the construction industry.
We supply aluminum foil laminate in widths greater than 1,200 mm specifically for the construction industry. This product can be used with a variety of base materials including plastic film, MDF and wood.
- Roofing, internal walls, thermal insulation
Gold inlay has been used in traditional crafts and for decorative purposes since before the Asuka period. Gold leaf is produced throughout the world.
Japanese gold leaf is said to be among the finest in the world. It is made using advanced rolling technology to achieve a final thickness of just 0.0001 - 0.0002 mm.
We supply only the finest Japanese gold leaf produced by skilled artisans in Kanazawa and Kyoto. Our gold leaf is used by master craftsmen and featured in kaiseki ryori (Japanese haute cuisine) and high-grade sweet delicacies.
In addition to solid gold leaf made from a pure gold base, we also supply brass (copper-zinc alloy) "gold leaf" as well as silver and platinum foils.
Where thicker leaf is required, for instance, for patterning on ceramic, an additional top layer is provided prior to beating.
Traditional decorative gold leaf, as featured on external walls of temples and other structures, is actually a combination of pure gold, silver and copper. It retains its brilliance even after prolonged outdoor exposure. It is important to distinguish between solid gold leaf and the brass substitute, which has a similar appearance but contains no gold. Subtle color variations can be created by varying the proportions of pure gold, silver and copper. No. 4 is the most popular color. Gold leaf has been approved as a food additive by the Ministry for Health, Labour and Welfare in Japan.

Metal leaf is most commonly cut into squares. The traditional method of creating a border through repeated overlaying of paper and metal leaf has today largely been replaced with mass-production approaches using dedicated glassine paper.

Metal flakes are essentially the leftover scraps from metal leaf borders. There are two main forms: coarse flakes, normally sold in bamboo tubes or bottles, which are used to add a touch of color to cooking and confectionery; and spray-on flakes, which are finer and therefore easier to control.
Imitation gold leaf is made from copper-zinc alloy. It is remarkably similar in color to proper gold leaf. Imitation gold leaf is often used as an inexpensive substitute for interior decoration.

Gold paint is actually gold leaf crushed to a powder. Traditionally this powder has been called paint.
Gold paint has a more subdued matt finish. There are two grades: "komaka" (very fine powder) and "kasa-ari" (slightly coarser particles, with a brighter appearance).
- Overtone gold base (gomo color) overtone komaka, overtone kasa-ari (No. 4 color), standard color komaka, standard color jikeshi (sanbushoku color)

Gold leaf gilding is a traditional technique used in Japan for centuries. NAKAJIMA METAL LEAF, POWDER Co. has employed traditional Japanese gold leaf gilding processes for more than a hundred years. Based on years of experience and expertise, NAKAJIMA METAL LEAF, POWDER Co. today offers a unique combination of traditional skills and modern construction technology to enhance any space.
Gilding is also available in a range of other foil and leaf materials such as silver, sintered silver, platinum and brass.
Skilled installers apply the final gold leaf finish on site, typically on existing structures or as a decorative flourish for finished surfaces considered unsuitable for removal or relocation.
NAKAJIMA METAL LEAF, POWDER Co. also provides gold leaf gilding in-house on supplied materials such as construction materials and interior surfaces. This approach reduces time spent on site, speeds up the overall lead time and minimizes disruption to ongoing operations.
Another option is gold leaf wallpaper sheeting, with the option of on-site installation by our trained installers. Sheeting products are quicker and easier to install with minimal disruption.

Copper foil is an excellent electrical conductor with good shielding properties, and is commonly used in electronic components such as capacitors and terminals.
<Rolled copper foil>
Copper foil is customized to client specifications by rolling copper sheeting to the required thickness.
<Electrodeposited copper foil>
Copper is deposited onto the surface of a drum via electrolysis, and wound to create copper foil. Electrodeposited copper foil is used in a wide range of general-purpose and specialized applications, including as a printing material for forming complex patterns on electronic circuit boards.
