Metallic stamping foil is a transfer foil comprising aluminum deposition on PET film. It is the most effective shiny metallic material compatible with conventional printing methods. It produces a mirror-like finish akin to plating, which is more impressive and eye-catching than other printing techniques.
Metallic stamping foil is frequently used to add an extra design element to product packaging and publications.
Metallic stamping foil was introduced in Japan some 60 years ago, and is still without equal in terms of the beautiful glossy mirror finish.

Hologram foil is different to standard metallic stamping foil in that it undergoes additional treatment to add three-dimensional and other effects. Hologram foil is used to produce ethereal designs to add value to products, and also as an anti-forgery measure on product coupons and other instruments.

Cold foil is a form of transfer foil that is becoming increasingly popular for product packaging, printed publications and posters.
Unlike conventional hot stamping, cold foil stamping is suitable for use with offset printing and other printing techniques.
Stamping and printing can be combined to enable color printing onto foil, producing a variety of striking metallic colors. And since the two processes are combined, production lead times are shorter.

In-mold foils are transfer foils that are used inside the mold. This means that decorative surface printing can be performed at the same time as the molding process. In-mold foils are inserted into the mold together with the molten plastic. As the plastic hardens, the pattern is transferred from the foil (or film) to the molding. In-mold foils are suitable for complex shapes and will not peel off, since they are molded together with the plastic itself.

Multi-colored transfer foils are used for decorative printing on plastic moldings in the same way as multi-color printing.
The foil is pre-printed with character or texture designs on the base film that are then transferred to the molding to create a multi-colored design.
